ACQUIRING A BROAD SPECTRUM OF DATA
Pipe Inspection Vehicles (PIV) enable detailed visual information, combined with accurate sonar
imaging to be viewed live and stored simultaneously to hard-drive for maximum image quality.
Utilising our unique pipe profiling sonar, we are able to quantify the visual information.
Anomalies such as damage, deformation and joint displacement may be measured accurately.
Silt and debris levels can be measured and the accumulative volume assessed.
Sonar is unaffected by water clarity and produces valuable results under conditions that render
CCTV ineffective.
We work closely with utility, consulting, civil engineering and power companies, to obtain what is
often critical asset condition information.
Many assets have never been inspected, due to the unacceptable disruption to services
associated with de-watering and the inherent dangers of ‘manned entry’.
